At this year’s EDUCOM Awards that recognided over twenty teachers, education NGO, and other education workers, Mr. Divine Kpe was adjudged the winner in the Education Support Worker.
The annual event by the Neogenic Education brought together about 200 education workers to celebrate a night of their contribution toward improving education in the country. Mr. Kpe, who was a nominee in the Education Worker category alongside three other people, was unanimously voted for by the four judges as the winner.
His works over the years in improving education were reviewed by the four panel judges. Some of them include his school mentoring programs for basic and secondary school students, school enrollment drive programs in some rural communities of Ghana, community sensitization on educational issues, and professional training programs for teachers.
Mr. Kpe also came as the first runner-up in the Inspirational Teacher category.
In attendance at the ceremony was the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
